11/1/06-12/31/06

The girls love to play with Matt and wear him out at the end of the day...although the purpose of the end of the day playtime is to wear the girls out before bed.

My little mop head.
We still don't know where that hair came from.

Chloe's aquarium mat

Trying not to be grumpy.  When Sydney is really grumpy, sometimes I'll pull out the camera to get her to calm down because she can't resist smiling for the camera.  My little superstar!

Daddy's girls

Chloe's grumpy spot
When Chloe is grumpy, we either put her in the front pack, or she always loves being up on Matt's shoulders.

Apple Orchard in Illinois
We went to visit Jim & Elizabeth Gardner in Illinois for Thanksgiving and stopped by the apple orchard, the cafe, petting farm and other things while we were there.

Nauvoo

Painting fun
Sydney has a hard time not tasting while she plays.  It drives me crazy, but she has a fun time anyway as you can see.

Sweet sleeper
Its so amazing how easy it is to get Chloe to sleep.  She just needs a blanket by her face, to be swaddled, and a binky.  If only life were always this easy.

Sweet sisters

Eyes
Sydney is learning her body parts and likes to point them out on Chloe unfortunately.  Poor Chloe is lucky she still has eyes.

Hurray!
I'm working so hard to get the girls to smile cute together.  Sydney's really getting into it, but Chloe  is just sitting there like "Are we done yet?".

Tongue
Another body part mastered.  Chloe doesn't really mind this time.

Kisses

Hi baby!

Yea, you're cute too.

Window watching

Bouncer time
Chloe never quite got into the bouncer as much as Sydney, but here she is finally figuring out how to make music.

You're in trouble...
Kelie & Stan gave us some hot chocolate and Sydney found it in our bag before I had a chance to put it away.  I wondered why she was playing so quietly in our room for so long.

She looks so clean and pretty first thing in the morning.  Too bad it doesn't last long.

Wake up sleepy head
We used to wake up in the morning hearing all sorts of rustling coming from the girls' room.  I'd go in to find Sydney sharing her stuffed friends with Chloe.  Poor Chloe is not only woken up with animals falling on her face, but she was defenseless all swaddled up still.  She never seemed to mind though.  In fact, she was always smiling.

Good morning Sydney

Sister time
Sydney also used to surprise us by climbing into Chloe's crib.  I always worried that she would hurt Chloe, but this is the only place where Sydney was very gentle to Chloe and respected her space.

Time for bed!
One last bottle before bed.  But she's still wanting to play dress-up  with her cute shoes.

Christmas dresses

Merry Christmas
Our pretty Christmas tree for our first Christmas at home.  It was a lot funner that I had anticipated, even though we were sad not to go home and visit family.

Stan & Kelie
Getting spoiled as usual by Stan & Kelie.  The girls loved to spend time with them.  We ate Christmas dinner with them and these are the presents they gave the girls.

Bouncer time
Sydney loves Chloe's bouncer...probably more than Chloe does.  She also loves Chloe's new Christmas presents, including the new quilt Aunt Katie made for her.

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Feeding time?
Chloe didn't really take to eating baby food for a few more months, but she sure looked the part.

Mommy & Chloe at Jim & Elizabeth's house.

Trying on Kelcie's shoes
Sydney can't resist trying on fun shoes wherever she goes.  If they aren't on  feet, they are free game.  And the more colorful the better.

Boys in the kitchen
Aren't they cute.  What good husbands they are.
