Little Matthew

I haven’t posted in a long time…this last pregnancy and newborn-ness has been a rough road, but since we don’t have any family living close, I thought it was time to catch up with some cute pictures.

DSC00841(rev 0)We blessed little Matthew at 5 weeks old.  His sisters are so proud!  I didn’t get to see them wear their Easter dresses because I was still home recovering, so they wore them for the blessing.

Sydney & Chloe sharing the bear they got for him from Ikea a few months ago.  They have been so excited to give this to him.

I tried to take some more current photos.  I haven’t been very good at taking pictures this time around.  Life is a lot busier with 4 kids, especially when the baby still wakes up several times a night.  Regular naps will be more than welcome in this house!

Even America Gets a Beach Birthday Party!

7-14-11 372

So my girls discovered this year that the 4th of July is celebrating America’s birthday.  Well, no wonder its such a big celebration!  We had so much fun heading up to New Jersey again to spend time with friends and enjoy the fireworks at the beautiful Jersey Shore!

Summer Fun!

7-14-11 356So we love when the sun finally shines long enough to pull out our little plastic pool and fill it up with enough hose water to cool off without freezing to death.  We definitely don’t have the luxury of an Arizona sun to warm up the water!  Here are the girls playing with some of their cute friends in the pool.

Sydney graduates from Kindergarten

So Sydney finished her first year of school successfully with smiles.  Of course it helps that she had an amazing teacher, and its so sad that we can’t keep the teachers we love from year to year!

On top of going to a new grade next year, our school district changed its boundaries and we have changed to a new school.  As a special goodbye, Sydney’s principal held a special assembly to recognize and say goodbye to all the kids leaving the school.  I know its difficult to see, but the kids on the stage are about half of the kids that are transferring to the new school.  We were way over-populated as you can tell by the number of kids leaving.

And of course, Sydney loves that I bring Sabrina to all of her school events with me so she can show off her best buddy to all of her school friends.  Aren’t they are cute pair.

Sabrina’s 1st Birthday

Sabrina's 1st birthday

Its a little late, but here are some fun pictures from Sabrina’s birthday. I decided to be a little creative with her cake and put her little cupcake on just set on top without attaching the fondant so we could pull it off easy.  We discovered a little too late that fondant is no fun for pictures though, because its not messy!

Although Sabrina’s little friend Shea liked eating her crumbs, so apparently it was messy enough for some.

Beautiful Ballerinas

So...Matt took my laptop with him on a work trip, so I am stuck on the old computer without my fancy/easy blogging program.  Lets see if I can do this the "old fashioned" way.

Sydney and Chloe had their ballet performances last week.  Not only were they adorable (of course!) and just slightly awkward (its their first year), but I also learned a little bit more about my girls'  personalities.  It was fun to see their dancing and performing styles come to life.  Granted--they are only 6 and 4 years old, but still, it was fun!  Let's see if you think so too.

Here's Sydney:

And here's Chloe:

Seriously, any proud Momma would gush over these two cuties! Wouldn't you?

She’s really a happy girl…I promise

So Sabrina has many faces and a lot of personality.  But with that, she’s a pretty mellow baby and so good to me as a mom of three.  Overall, she’s very happy and good-natured.

DSC00026So I had to laugh when I’m going through my pictures and see all of these seemingly grumpy and angry faces she makes.  Part of it is that when she is watching or thinking, she makes a very serious face that could be interpreted as…well, angry.

DSC00044And she has a silly face she likes to make when she’s not so sure about what’s going on.  But sometimes, I wonder how she’ll grow into all these faces in the years to come!

I know you saw a similar picture in my last post, but I can’t help using it again to emphasize my point.
